Gailes Links

Gailes Links belongs to Glasgow Golf Club, the 9th oldest golf club in the world, and although steeped in history it is very much a modern Club committed to the future, working in partnership with the R&A and welcoming visitors and operators from all over the world.

Established in 1892, Gailes Links is part of the prestigious Glasgow Golf Club. The course like so many on the Ayrshire Coast is flanked by the railway line and it sits adjacent to Dundonald Links and close neighbours with Western Gailes and Kilmarnock Barassie Golf Club.

The course offers a challenging links layout and like so many links layouts, a number of holes are fraught with danger, with out-of-bounds from the railway line or the course perimeter. With the prevailing south westerly winds often in play straight driving is required to keep the scorecard in balance.

The club has hosted 32 International competitions since 1927 and was an Open Championship Qualifying course from 2014 to 2017.
