Ayrshire Golf Scotland

Home

Ayrshire remains one of the very best golf destinations in the world, with nearly 50 courses to choose from, including a number of the UK's top 100 courses and, uniquely, three Open Championship venues and of course Prestwick is the "Birthplace of The Open"

Play links golf, parkland golf or even golf on an island!

Ayrshire offers the visiting golfer perhaps the finest collection of links golf courses in the world and with it comes easy access, quality accommodation, fine dining and a history and heritage to match.

In 2024 The Open Championship revisits the wonderful challenge of Royal Troon and the world's finest golfers will once again return to the Ayrshire coastline. It provides a superb showcase for everything that this wonderful little county on the south west coast of Scotland can offer the visitor.

Scotland's West Coast Links

Scotland's West Coast Links

The stretch of Ayrshire coast from Largs in the north to Girvan in the south must be one of the most bountiful in golfing terms, anywhere in the world. On a stretch of coastal land not much more than 50 miles in length you will find some of the finest links golf courses you could wish for.
You can drive from top to bottom in around an hour but to do those would do an injustice to the quality of golf you would be bypassing. Take your time and savour a golfing journey fit for any connoisseur.
