Troon is renowned the world over as a first class golf destination boasting, in Royal Troon, one of Scotland's finest links courses. The Troon Weekender from the 25th - 27th August 2017 showcases three more of the towns courses.
Lochgreen is the longest of the courses, starting and finishing in a single location. This course has been used as an Open qualifier in the past, and indeed a young Jck Nicklaus qualified for the 1962 Open here.
Darley is by far the toughest of the trio and is renowned for its gorse, heather and whin's to provide a stern test of golf.
The Fullarton course in contrast is ideal for the shorter hitter, higher h'cap golfer.
