Edinburgh Airport on the east of the country is Scotland's largest and busiest airport but remains less than ninety minutes drive making it well within reach for a short break or golf trip to Ayrshire. It in fact takes almost the same time to get to Prestwick from Edinburgh as it does to St Andrews - so don't think Ayrshire is too far for your Edinburgh arrival!
